“ First bite catipulted me into euphoria! So buttery and flavorful. Im so sorry now i didnt get the name of the lovely girl helping me. Her and the Owner were so very sweet and extremely knowledgeable on everything in the store. Right as I walked in the door I was acknowledged and greeted. The ambiance was incredible and every corner of the store was well kept. I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner!! I will definitely be coming back. ”
“ The pastries here are so beautifully crafted, they almost look too perfect to eat--but trust me, you'll want to! Snap a photo before your first bite because once you start, there's no stopping. We tried the Apple Croissant, Pistachio Croissant, and the Black Truffle Special Croissant, and wow... each one was buttery, flaky, and packed with flavor. The black truffle croissant, in particular, was a savory masterpiece! For something sweet, we had the Valentino--a rich dark chocolate mousse with a raspberry insert and coconut sponge. It looks impressive and is pure decadence! It's definitely on the pricier side, but worth the experience. ”
“ I stumbled upon this bakery while with friends walking around Sawtelle. My friend recommended this spot, and I had no idea how popular it was! I enjoyed the pastries I tried there, and they even threw in a couple macarons - for free! The staff were friendly and welcoming (definitely didn't give off a snooty, pretentious LA bakery type of vibe), the line wasn't that packed for a Saturday morning, and all the desserts looked and tasted high quality! I ordered the pistachio/strawberry dessert and the cream puff one! Both fabulous- just look at that *mirror glaze*! I will return if I'm ever in the area! ”
“ Great service from the girls. Our order included complimentary macrons. The prices are obviously very high, but I'm happy to pay that for such a beautifully crafted dessert. So so good! ”
“ We just happened to pass by this cute patisserie and we are so glad we stopped in! The Yuzu tart with Merengue had such a delicate flavor without being too overly sweet! I personally love eating and make lemon tart, but the lower key flavor of yuzu worked so well. I would love entertaining to be able to bake something half as delicious as this one. We also each got a croissant, plain and a pan au chocolate. They were absolutely massive! They were very light and airy but had a great flavor and mouth feel. The ladies working there were so sweet and nice and give us great recommendations. They even gave us a couple of macaroons for our road trip! We don't normally visit this area of Santa Monica, but we would definitely come back here, even if it would be a bit out of the way!! ”
“ Excellent cakes and the first excellent macarons I've encountered in LA. I was craving some decadent chocolate confections and since I was in Sawtelle, I decided to check out Artelice. Everything was so enticing but I opted for the Sophia and the Roche and also took home a handful of macarons. The cakes were top notch! And the macarons were excellent! I've been bemoaning the fact that Laduree is not easily accessible in LA so I was thrilled to find these expertly made macarons. ”
“ FOOD 4/5 Haven't tried their cakes but they look amazing. Love there: Persian Princess, Almond Croissant, Matcha Croissant and daily specials. SERVICE 4/5 Friendly service and it's consistent. Love how they give samples of their macarons when your purchase something PARKING 5/5 Easy parking in shopping plaza ”
“ Artelice Patisserie was the first bakery I tried on the westside and remains one of my favorites! The croissants are divine - especially the hazelnut chocolate one. I love how they always give two free macarons every time you visit. A very thoughtful gesture! Their cakes are equally amazing and make me feel like I'm eating mini art pieces! The Saint Honore was so unique - I've always seen bigger versions of this cake and was curious about it. Glad I could try it here! The Sophia is also beautifully made with decadent chocolate. If you're in the area, definitely stop by to grab some pastries and cakes! It's definitely worth your time :) ”
“ Following my eating everything I declare Artelice as magically delicious! Everything was amazing! The fillings were fresh and flavorful! Pastry composition was flawless! Flakey, buttery and crispy! Appearance was over the top and packaging complemented the content. ”
“ Wow, just wow. This might be the most overpriced but delicious dessert my poor tongue ever got to taste. Anyway, let me vaguely describe my culinary experience here. My girlfriend graciously bought 3 desserts for my family and I. One was a vanilla chocolate mousse, another was a passionfruit type cheesecake thing, and another was.... i don't even remember but phew was it amazing. So everything's sweetness varies which was surprising, but expect the vanilla and chocolate sweets to be sweeter while the fruit based desserts will be lighter on the sweetness. But all the flavors blend in together really well for an elitist dessert experience. So if you find yourself in Sawtelle multiple times, you definitely gotta give Artelice Patisserie a try! ”
